Manthey-Racing’s Enhanced Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Now Available in the US

Manthey-Racing, a German motorsports and engineering company known for its close ties to Porsche, has extended its offerings in the U.S. with an upgrade package for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. This upgrade, developed in collaboration with Porsche, focuses on enhancing the aerodynamics and chassis components of the already impressive sports car.

One of the standout features of this upgrade is the new coil-over suspension system with adjustable spring struts that can be set to four different positions, along with adjustable rebound and compression stages. The front suspension also sees an increase in spring rates by 20%, providing improved handling and stability on the track.

In terms of aerodynamics, the upgrade includes a wider rear wing with four levels of adjustment, resulting in a significant increase in downforce from 196 pounds to 372 pounds. This enhanced downforce contributes to improved grip and stability at high speeds, enabling drivers to push the limits of the vehicle with confidence.

The upgrade package also includes steel hoses for the brakes, ensuring optimal stopping power on the track. Additionally, track-specific brake pads are available for those who are looking to maximize performance during spirited driving sessions.

It’s worth noting that the powertrain of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS remains unchanged, with the 4.0-liter flat-6 engine delivering a potent 493 hp to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This ensures that the car retains its formidable performance characteristics while benefiting from the enhanced handling and aerodynamics provided by the Manthey upgrade.

Priced at $53,946 (excluding installation), the upgrade package offers a significant improvement in performance and driving dynamics for enthusiasts looking to take their Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS to the next level. For an additional $5,890, buyers can opt for a new front fender louver design and a larger gurney flap on the rear ductail spoiler, further increasing downforce by 4%.

For those interested in experiencing the enhancements firsthand, the Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles will be offering driving programs featuring the upgraded Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. This provides a unique opportunity for potential buyers to test the upgrade in a controlled environment before making a decision.

In addition to the upgrade for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Manthey also offers a similar package for the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3, further solidifying its reputation as a premier provider of performance upgrades for Porsche vehicles. With a focus on enhancing both track performance and driving experience, these upgrades showcase Manthey’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering and motorsports.
