Anthropic, backed by Amazon, rolls out their Claude AI chatbot in Europe

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence startup backed by Amazon, is making waves in Europe with the launch of its generative AI assistant Claude. This innovative assistant will be available to individuals and businesses through the web and an iPhone app.

The paid subscription-based version, Claude Pro, offers access to all models, including Claude 3 Opus, the most advanced offering by Anthropic. Additionally, the company is introducing Claude Team subscription-based plans for businesses, priced at 28 euros ($30) a month.

Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic, emphasized the commitment to accuracy, security, and privacy in the design of Claude. As AI continues to advance rapidly, there are concerns surrounding its impact on jobs and privacy.

The European Union Parliament recently passed the AI Act, the world’s first major regulatory framework for governing AI technology.
